Thanks for linking up my recipe and pretty much what you did with the mix before you put it into the ice cream maker is what I do…I make the smoothies, then freeze them in plastic cups and although it’s not perfect, after thawing them at room temp for 10-20 mins or so, it’s pretty much sherbet!

And glad you used this exact brand and item from my post…I love it and others who havent used it write in they are a little disappointed. I love that stuff!

I use torch and then vinegar. Weather has not been very hospitable for the spray yet, but IT DOES WORK! Costco sells 2 jugs of vinegar for cheap, cheap, cheap.

I’ve tried a number of dishes by Gluten Free Girl all without success. She’s another that has a long list of odd and expensive ingredients. My Thanksgiving pumpin pie was a hot mess.

I’ve never tried Elana’s Pantry. I have almond flour that I bought somewhere in town, but haven’t tried online sources… again, too expensive.

Today I hit pay dirt with flours at Pal-Do World. I made gluten free wonton wrappers that were every bit as good as their counterparts. I had to mix my own all purpose flour blend, but it was worth it.

It’s all a bunch of trial and error. After a year I’m mostly getting the hang of this. Luckily I only have the gluten allergy. I can still eat corn, soy and nuts. I’m also good on eggs (thank God). Milk… that’s a different ball of stomach ache.

glutenfreegirl.com (excellent baked goods that I swear you cannot tell are gluten free – the chocolate chip cookies, the scones, oh my!!).
elanaspantry.com (although she uses mostly almond flour that you have to order online, the stuff in the store does not compare to what you get online).

I love Portland Ave too! I’m glad it’s across town, so I have to have a good excuse to drive out there. You new Black/White garden is so cool! The black mondo grass is going to look so striking with the white azalea blossoms. You’ve inspired me to get off my butt and fix my garden’s sad areas.

Erica, I do work for GardenSphere. I’m not opposed to admitting it. I’m going into my 3rd season with the store this year. I manage all of the social media for the store, organize the Urban Coop tour and sell a plant or 2. I do a weekly post here of what looks great in the shop too.

I’ve heard of the customer service experience. Our running joke is that Travis ended up on the ferry on the way to your house. Glad we could help out.

Thanks for the heads up on the link. I just re-did the site yesterday and finished stuff up this morning. I was in a hurry to get the shop’s logo up this morning and guess I was typing too fast.
