		<description>For the best book for beginners, period pls. check out Steve Solomon&#039;s Gardening When It Counts. It&#039;s the single greatest resource I&#039;ve read and well worth a read. He also gardened in the Pacific NW for a while and I believe he has a book on that also. I actually reviewed it recently as well as my other &#039;bible&#039; by Ed Smith.
