My sister and I made 20 GALLONS of marinara sauce this weekend from about 150# of tomatoes. But...we cheated a little, because my brother-in-law grew all the tomatoes, we just got a few fresh picked boxes from the farm and started there. (My brother-in-law is a vegetable farmer.) My sister and I made 20 GALLONS of marinara sauce this weekend from about 150# of tomatoes. But…we cheated a little, because my brother-in-law grew all the tomatoes, we just got a few fresh picked boxes from the farm and started there. (My brother-in-law is a vegetable farmer.)

I had one little measly tomato plant on my back porch and I think I got three or four small tomatoes total all summer.
